This year the quality and number of applications was amazingly high and I am thrilled to introduce you to Jane from Australia, who is now a repatriate, Tone from Norway who currently lives in Oman, Mariam from Pakistan, who currently lives in Dubai, and Sarah, an American ATCK and repatriate, who is now in North America.
As before, past PPWR recipient, Dounia Bertuccelli, is helping to manage the team, but she will not be able to attend FIGT in The Hague for the best of reasons – she is having a baby! Instead Terry Anne Wilson, who joined the PPWR as an enthusiastic and reliable extra, will help out in The Hague. I am grateful for her help and support. Extra pairs of hands As in previous years, we are lucky to have a few extra members for the team, who, though not scholars, will be writing about the conference and joining in our activities. Their help and enthusiasm is much appreciated. They are Carolyn Rizzo, Sara Coggolia, Sarah Kobrus and Sarah Black. The power of writing Thanks to the PPWR initiative and the steady support we receive from FIGT and the writers, the inspiring, insightful and important sessions from the conference will be preserved. After 2014 we published a book of their writing. As I prepare this document we are moving towards the publication of the words of wisdom from 2015, thanks to the generous donations of 20 people and a Kickstarter campaign.
